Detailed Itinerary
Depart Arusha or Moshi and drive west along the scenic floor of the Great Rift Valley to Lake Manyara National Park. After checking into your lodge, embark on an afternoon game drive through the lush groundwater forest, spotting playful baboons, blue monkeys, elephants, and giraffes.
Spend a full day exploring the diverse habitats of Lake Manyara. Keep your eyes peeled for the famous tree-climbing lions lounging in acacia trees, massive buffalo herds, and thousands of flamingos painting the shallow alkaline lake pink. Enjoy a picnic lunch overlooking the breathtaking escarpment walls.
Enjoy an early morning game drive to catch active wildlife and stunning sunrise lighting over the lake. Return to your lodge for breakfast, check out, and take a comfortable return transfer back to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO).
